Who ArE WE

Shine a Light was created by a group of care-experienced people and friends who share a deep commitment to remembrance, connection, and change. Our project exists to honour those we’ve lost, uplift those still here, and build a space for collective healing and reflection.

We are currently being kindly supported by Pure Insight, a UK charity that shares our values and recognises the importance of this work. Their incubation and encouragement have helped us get off the ground, and we’re working towards becoming an independent charity once the project is more established.

Building the foundation for this site has been a collaborative, evolving process - powered by people generously volunteering their time, skills, and knowledge. From legal guidance and IT infrastructure to funding advice and administrative help, this project exists thanks to a community of care and action.
